Give a Day, Get a Disney Day Free

Give a Day, Get a Disney Day Free

As I’d love to make it down to Orlando next year, I’m going to try & take advantage of this deal:

Disney is partnering with the HandsOn Network for the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day Free promotion. The premise is simple: If you give your time & volunteer for a day, you’ll get voucher for a free day at Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme parks.

As always, the deal has stipulations. Here are the highlights:

  • You’ll need to search online for a volunteer opportunity & sign up to participate. The catch is that you can’t start looking for those opportunities until January 1, 2010.
  • Once they verify your service, you’ll receive the voucher for free admission.
  • The program ends on December 15, 2010, or once all of the tickets are distributed, whichever comes first. I believe their goal is to inspire a million people to give, so sign up on the early end of things if you’re planning to participate.
  • There’s a limit of one ticket per person, regardless of the number of hours donated. But the program is open to anyone age 6 or older, so if you get the family involved, you can get most of them in for free. The vouchers are not transferrable though, and you will need to produce a photo ID or a copy of the birth certificate at the gate.
  • The eligible volunteer opportunities are located in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada.
  • If you’re buying a multi-day pass or an annual pass, you have options: Instead of the voucher, you can get a free FASTPASS for you & up to 5 other members of your party or a collectible ear hat figurine with trading pins. Or you can donate your voucher to a non-profit organization designated by Disney.
